RE: Paladin™ Flame-Resistant Barriers

To Whom it May Concern,

The purpose of this letter is to address questions regarding the contents of our Paladin™
line of barrier fabrics. All of our barriers are composed of inherently flame retardant
rayon fibers blended with polyester fibers. It has always been our intention to provide
barrier materials that do not contain any topical chemical treatment on our fibers or
fabrics to provide the required flame resistant properties. Please be assured that the flame
resistant characteristics are inherent to the rayon fibers that we use, and no post-treatment
with chemicals is necessary. Rayon is a man-made fiber generated from natural
cellulosic derived from wood pulp. The flame resistant variety that we use in our barriers
is impregnated with silica (sand) during the fiber formation, thus making the flame
resistant properties inherent.

Regarding the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) that regulates the
concentration of lead and phthalates in children’s products, we confirm that our
Paladin™ line of barriers do not contain lead or phthalates above the specified limits.

Sincerely,
